The rise and stability of the Warehouse share price of late continues to arouse my curiosity. Others stocks have been doing the opposite. Is it the dividend or something else?

The latest sales update makes boring reading really. Positive though because sales are slightly up after extra format stores were dumped and those figure comparisons are taken out.

The Warehouse is going to struggle to introduce more brands as they telegraphed a few weeks back. They have a poor image themselves for selling rubbish and brand owners know this...

I was surprised that WHS shares only rose about 15c on thin volume up to the dividend entitlement date that closed today. A 17c div plus tax credits would usually see a bigger rise. Expect a reasonable pull back in the stock price based on this I would think...

I am putting this on my watchlist to add more to the portfolio....$3.50 or less I think.

Thanks for the tip B. - I may also put this on my radar. I'm a part-timer at most on this, so can only concentrate 6-7 companies on the stock exchange at most. WHS being a retailer, and recently the economic indicators seemed a mixed bag so I will keep my optimistic hat on for a five year forecast.

I could be wrong but investors seem to be unexcited about the company. Bongo could be right about an opportunity of the low side given some more bad sales numbers in Winter but the worst seems to be over for them.

I am happy to get another 5000 shares pre $3.50 or close to that. Whther it goes down that far is another question.
